What I’m Reading: Chloe Benjamin

Chloe Benjamin, author of The Immortalists, shares three books she's read recently and what she loved about them.

Chloe Benjamin, author of The Immortalists, sat down with us to talk a little bit about books she’s been reading lately and why she recommends them.

In The Immortalists, Benjamin transports readers to 1969 in New York City’s Lower East Side, where a traveling psychic arrives who claims she can tell anyone what day they will die. The four Gold children sneak out to hear their fortunes, none of them knowing the impact her words will have on the rest of their lives. The story of these four siblings probes the line between destiny and choice, reality and illusion, this world and the next.

Benjamin shared three books she’s read and loved recently; one that broke her heart, one about vibrant, intense, and “sexy” anthropologists, and one she savored like a fine wine from an author she adores.
