Winners of RIF’s Share Your Bookshelf Sweepstakes

RIFers, hundreds of you shared your bookshelves with Read It Forward – so many gorgeous, unique, packed bookshelves!

Thank you so much for being part of our biggest sweepstakes yet. Watch for posts in the coming weeks as we profile RIFers and their books.

Our Share Your Bookshelf sweepstakes ended on January 4, 2013, but we still want to hear from you! Share a photo or video of your bookshelf via email, Facebook, or Twitter. If we feature your shelf on our site, we will send you a fabulous free book!

The grand prize winner (selected at random from among hundreds of entries) is . . . drum roll please . . . RIFer Laural M! Laural will receive an Ikea bookshelf and 25 Read It Forward books of her choice.

Get recommendations for the greatest books around straight to your inbox every week.

Bookshelf“I recently moved into an apartment with built-in bookshelves – best feature of the apartment and the main reason I moved in,” says Laural. “This is the bookshelf in my bedroom and one of three in the apartment. I’m going to miss these bookshelves when I move! My books are not necessarily in any order but most of these are ones I haven’t read yet. I keep the books I think I will read again or that have sentimental value; I give the rest away for someone else to enjoy.”

These two runners-up (also selected at random from among hundreds of entries) will receive 10 Read It Forward books of their choice.

Bookshelf“My bookshelves are representative of everything in my life, from memorabilia to childhood remnants,” says RIFer Stephanie M. “My books mean so much to me because, just like those childhood remnants, they have made me who I am and will probably guide who I become.”

Bookshelf“One can never have too many books!” says RIFer Ashley F.
