What I’m Reading: Daniel H. Wilson

Daniel H. Wilson, author of The Clockwork Dynasty, shares the titles in his to-be-read pile.

We recently caught up with Daniel H. Wilson, author of The Clockwork Dynasty and bestsellers RobopocalypseRobogenesis, and Amped, and asked what books he’d been recommending to friends and family. Besides writing novels, Daniel has a B.S. in computer science and a Ph.D. in robotics, proving that his appreciation for science is only matched by his love of science fiction! Daniel’s latest book draws from this knowledge of robotics: this thriller vacillates back and forth between present-day—when anthropologist June Stefanov discovers a secret in a three-hundred-year-old doll that casts her into an alternate reality—and Russia in 1725, when the Tsar’s mechanician brings to life two astonishingly human-like mechanical beings, Peter and Elena, who possess immense power.

Watch the video below for the list of books he shared with us—it’s chock full of aliens, horror, and very human tales of the mind-bendingly strange!

DANIEL H. WILSON is the bestselling author of RobopocalypseRobogenesis, and Amped, among others. He was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and earned a B.S. in computer science from the University of Tulsa and a Ph.D. in robotics from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh. He lives in Portland, Oregon with his wife and two children.
