Do you give books for Mother’s Day…

  • I can’t forget the sick, twisted “Mom” character in Gillian Flynn’s first novel, SHARP OBJECTS. Gives me shivers just thinking about her. This character haunted me so much, I was spooked when I met Gillian’s mom at an award show. I had no reason to be – she was sweet as pie, of course!

  • Mrs. Weasley!

  • Missyinpa

Mrs. March in “Little Women.” So strong! And her example to her girls was in her actions more than her words.

  • Marmee in Little Women. She allowed her daughter to be themselves, to not be just girls, but strong independent women. To show emotions and work as hard if not harder than any man.

  • Mary Ann

I always liked Mrs. Murray from “Wrinkle in TIme”

Frankly, I think the best Mother’s Day “book” I ever gave was the amazon.com gift card I gave my mother last year. But I gave her a gorgeous cookbook last Christmas, Home Made Winter by Yvette van Boven.

  • Regie Lualhati

I like the moms in Joy Luck Club. Both “moms” too in Beaches. 🙂

  • Rose

my favorite Mothers day book is Kate Remembered. I gave it to my mom as a gift.

  • kaytsis

In the Kitchen of Half Truths, a wonderful book about Mother daughter relationship.
