RIFers Can’t Wait for Anne Tyler’s A Spool of Blue Thread

Anne Tyler is a bonafide literary superstar. If you've read one of her novels, how would you describe her writing? Let's chat in the comments!

A Spool of Blue Thread is Anne Tyler’s twentieth novel, and RIFers can’t wait! When we hosted our Read It First giveaway last week, we got dozens of comments about all the reasons RIFers love Anne Tyler. We thought we’d share some of these insightful comments. Sure makes you want to pick up an Anne Tyler novel, doesn’t it?

Lala57: “I’ve been an Anne Tyler fan since I saw The Accidental Tourist late one night on HBO, I went out and bought the book the next day. I then read her earlier work, loved A Slipping-Down Life because it reminded me of someone close to me … since then I devour her novels – they’re gourmet reads!”

Peacesun: “Anne Tyler writes evocative books that remind me of when I was growing up. The anchor of a home permeates memories and makes you want to go back and touch your foundation of safety and shelter from family and friends.”

JP: “I love Anne Tyler. Ladder of Years was my favorite book. I read it many years ago and yet I think about it often even today. There is something about Anne Tyler that permeates your heart and soul and just takes up residence there. I would so appreciate winning this new book.”

Edith: “What a treat it would be to immerse oneself in the world of an Anne Tyler novel on a winter evening in front of the fireplace!”
