At this time I am reading Joyce Meyer’s “Woman to Woman”

  • Connie Harris

Debbie has been a very special author to me for 10+ years. I give most of her books our library here so that others may enjoy them. I usually spend a great deal of my day reading or crocheting. With her books you feel part of the story and I always look forward to the next one. Debbie’s books usually hold my attention from page one and I can’t put the book down until I’m done. I’ve never read one that I did not like. I’m so glad she has the “read it forward program”. I can’t tell you how good it feels to share with a friend or the library and know others will get a chance to read the book also. My library is funded with grants and donations so that are a lot of books they can not afford to buy. Love you, Debbie

  • Sheila

i learned to knit and shortly thereafter, my husband was diagnosed with cancer. i was then gifted with the “shop on blossom street” by a friend who’s daughter just finished going thru chemo treatments herself. it lifted my spirits greatly and the first pattern was the blanket i knit for my first grandson. my husband bought me “hannah’s list” before he passed away. i admit i couldn’t even look at it for a very long time. and when i finally was able, it did much the same that first blossom street book did. i have been addicted to debbie’s books ever since. there are many other genres i like, but when i need a friend and a lift- i’m back on blossom street or any other place debbie has made home away from home.
i should say that knitting has saved me from the first. my husband is now gone for just over 3 years, and i’ve been caring for my much elderly mother who has alzheimers for just over 2 years. knitting and reading continue to be my therapy.. in fact, knitting while listening to audio books is my favorite type of multitasking.

I never leave the house without a book (often one of Debbie’s!) and a small knitting project! Thanks Debbie, love you!

Love reading Debbie`s books!! Enjoy passing them on to family & friends

  • Ann-Louise

I have been a Debbie Macomber fan for years and even had the opportunity to meet her. What a lovely person. Enjoy her books because they don’t have all the bad language which is so prevalent today.

  • Janette Prickett

I love Debbie Macomber’s books. I think I’ve read them all. If I haven’t, it’s not on purpose — I just haven’t found them yet. I love the way she writes, with humor, caring and challenges, all while keeping her books very PG rated. Keep them coming, Debbie. I also knitted A Lot in my younger years and then gave it up when I was working 5 days a week. So a couple of years ago I gave all my knitting stuff (everything one would ever need to knit anything) to a young lady at our church who loves to knit. Now I would like to get back into it, but just knitting small things like caps for babies or young people in youth homes, etc.

  • Ike and Jennie

I am a huge Debbie fan, as I was born in the same town of Yakima, WA where we both grew up and now we both live in the same town of Cedar Cove (oops I mean Port Orchard, WA.. I have been to many of Debbie’s teas & breakfasts, have delivered blankets/afghans to Debbie’s office for Project Linus for delivery to one of her many charities. I love to knit and have visited her yarn shop. I get most of her books, novels & craft, from our library so would love to win them. Debbie is an amazing person and even though I do not know her well I do know that everyone in Port Orchard feels she is a friend.

  • Terry

From the first time I picked up my first “Debbie book”….I’ve been hooked on the wonderful stories. I devoured all of the Cedar Cove stories and any other books I could find. I have enjoyed every one of them. I learned to knit as a teenager in 4-H, used to knit often and remember making my teenage daughter a beautiful, lacy knit sweater that she loved. I haven’t had a great deal of time to do more knitting in years….winning this set of books with all the craft books in it would really encourage me to get back to doing something I have always enjoyed doing. I loved feeling so creative….

  • Laura

I have always been a fan of Debbie Macombers. I read her books even before I learned to knit. The Blossom St series really motivated me to try one more time to learn how to knit. This would be a great prize to win. Very motivational!

  • Mary Peoples

I have been in love with reading as long as I can remember. I “discovered” Debbie’s Cedar Cove series by picking up 1105 Yakima Street in an airport newsstand. I chose it because some of my ancestors lived in Yakima for a time. Just last year, my church started a Prayer Shawl group, offering to teach those interested but without skills. I am currently knitting #13, trying out a new technique at the same time.

  • Virginia Trabish

Have been an avid reader since the 4th grade. Sickly as a child so had to find quiet time hobbies, reading was then and is now my all time favorite pastime. I always have a gook I’m reading. When my four daughters were younger I was always knitting clothes for them and their friends for their Barbie dolls. I usually pass my books onto the Sr. Centers library or to my friends. Have to share good things.

Thank you for this wonderful opportunity. I love to read all forms of romance related fiction but haven’t had the pleasure, as of yet, to officially sit down and enjoy Debbie’s stories personally in a reading format. I have, however, very much enjoyed the Hallmark Channels Cedar Cove series and plan to rectify the above, one way or another, very soon. Thank you Debbie for such a beautiful story and characters to follow along with in the series and I look forward to experiencing even more as soon as I can.

  • Helen Northam

Started with the Angels. Don’t knit but loved the books. .I have always been a reader. These are uplifting and hopeful. Hope in Jesus. And yes ma’am I always share my books with others. I spend most of my time at home. Due to bad health(breast cancer and the effects of chemo) I am mostly a watcher or a reader. .My 7yr old granddaughter and grandson both love to read.I like your books cause they can read over my shoulder and it’s alright. .

  • Christine

My love of all the Debbie Macomber fiction books. So happy they made movies to enhance the books for more readers to enjoy. I really want to learn knitting. Since retiring, my health has gone down-hill but I am a survivor. With Fibromyalgia and Arthritis the need to move my body is very important. My hands have gotten very sore, so my desire to learn knitting will keep my hands active in a productive way. Also, I can do this sitting anywhere. The treadmill helps my body, but not my hands. Thanks Debbie for making this gal an avid fan and for making my days brighter and more enjoyable with your awesome stories. ~~ <3 Christine ~~

  • June Anderson

I am a Debbie Macomber fan. I have read lots of her books, but admit, I borrowed some from the library, because I can no longer afford to buy them all, since I am now on a limited income. I bought a “teach yourself to knit” book years ago, and have knitted my daughters many sweaters. After reading one of Debbie’s books, I got out the knitting needles and got busy again. She inspired me. I knitted 2 of my Great-Grandson sweaters for Christmas and a scarf for one of my daughters this past year. I also like to crochet. That’s how I keep out of the snacks while watching TV. I keep my hands in the yarn. I read at night after I go to bed. Debbie’s books make me feel good, like she really cares for me. A couple of years ago I wrote to Debbie and poured out all my troubles, which were many. She wrote a note back to me, which I treasured, and sent me a tea bag, and told me to have a cup of tea on her. I did so, and it felt so good to know I was having a cup of tea with her.She is such a wonderful lady. Since I can no longer buy all her books, I would really love to win this package.
