7 Stories About Survival

Life After author Katie Ganshert shares seven survival stories to add to your TBR.

According to Merriam-Webster, survival is the state of continuing to live or exist, especially in spite of difficult conditions.

According to human nature, survival is one of our most basic instincts.

Almost all of us want to live, even when facing the direst of circumstances. There is something about these stories—the resilience found in them, the enduring will to keep on breathing—that speaks to our soul.

We want to know that there is hope in adversity. We want to root for the underdog who faces tremendous odds and comes out the victor. At the end of the day, we want to believe that life triumphs over death. These are the stories that call us to hope. And hope is a beautiful, life-giving thing.

Here are seven survival stories to add to your to-be-read pile… Some true. Some make believe. All about survival. All an offering of hope.

What are some of your favorite survival stories?
