6 Great Summer Reads if You Liked The Devil Wears Prada

Read about that #worklife while you sit on the beach.

I must confess: I’m a huge fan of Lauren Weisberger’s fashion-magazine-skewering novel The Devil Wears Prada. I’ve re-read it more times than I can count and anytime I find the movie playing on TV, I’m compelled to watch ’til the end, even though I own the DVD and I’ve seen it a million times.

What is it about that book that I love so much? Well, for one, my career started in fashion magazines, so it all feels quite familiar to me. And two, I love reading about salacious office drama and professional life mishaps—especially on vacation. There’s just something about reading about that #worklife while sitting on the porch, dock or beach that makes the corporate world feel even further away than it really is. Here are six other novels set in the workplace that I find just as satisfying as TDWP. So turn on your Out of Office this summer, grab one of these novels and dive in.
